You may have noticed the Protx logo — a recognised mark of security — on our website and payment pages, where you enter your card details. Protx has recently informed us that from 21 April 2009 it is to change its name to Sage Pay and we wanted to make sure that, as a valued customer, you are aware of this change.
The switch to Sage Pay is a strategic move by the company, which is owned by business management software provider Sage, and services will not be affected in any way. In fact Protx, (Sage Pay) is introducing 24/7 support from 21 April 2009, making them even more accessible should we, or you need to contact them.
From a day-to-day perspective there will be no difference to the service, but we wanted to assure you of our continued commitment to security on our site by making you aware of Protx and the subsequent rebrand to Sage Pay.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
When you buy goods through petshop2u you have the same rights as when purchasing from a regular shop or showroom. In addition, you are entitled to a seven working-day 'cooling off' period, as described in the 'distance selling' section of the government website http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases and if for any reason you are not happy please return it within 7 days and we will exchange, replace or refund it at your request - subject to thefollowing conditions:
If the product is faulty or incorrect we will pay for any return costs.
If the product is what you ordered and you have simply changed your mind or you wish to exchange an item it is your responsibility to pay for the return of the item(s). We will also deduct the original carriage charges from your refund. Replacement items will incur carriage costs. If you received Free Delivery we will deduct the true cost of the delivery from your refund. This can be upto £7.95 per parcel.
We refund carriage costs only if the return is a result of our error or the product is faulty. Please do not return goods without first contacting us. Wherever possible, we will respond to your individual circumstances. For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service when returning your item(s) back to us, as we are not liable for any loss or damage whilst in transit
We regret that we cannot accept cancellations for food items or perishable goods unless they arrive damaged, faulty or not the item ordered once they have been signed for.
If a fault occurs within 28 days of delivery, we will always offer you an exchange, replacement or refund.

You must take reasonable care of the goods in your possession pending their return to Pet Shop2u. Please ensure goods are suitably packed.
